The 49ers are running after Christian McCaffrey for Monday Night Football

The team released its inactive list 90 minutes before kickoff, and McCaffrey's name is not among the seven healthy scratches. Left tackle Trent Williams (knee) is among the inactives. He was doubtful after being questionable in the final injury report of the week.

McCaffrey has a tweaked hamstring that made him questionable for tonight's game. He was limited in practice this week.

Key Players, Injuries, and Expectations for Monday Night Football

The questions now are how much McCaffrey will play and how effective he'll be. He's attempting to extend his streak of consecutive games with at least 16 touches with this short turnaround.

Behind McCaffrey on the inactive list for San Francisco are Eli Mitchell and Jordon May; on the line, Baker Darry Greenlaw is active after being doubtful; the 49ers scratched wide receiver Deebo Samuel (shoulder) for the second consecutive week and quarterback Brandon Allen; defenders K'Waun Williams, Marcell Harris, Talanoa Hufanga and Breylin Williams are healthy scratches. Hufanga will work as the team's third quarterback.

The inactive list for the Vikings includes safety Luther Signe, cornerback Naji Thompson, Tate And Neck Muse, linebacker Andre Carter II, left guard Ezra Cleveland (ankle) and defensive tackle James Lynch.

Dalton Risner, who signed a $3 million deal with Cleveland late last month, will start for Cleveland.

Akeem Evans (hamstring) and wide receiver Jamell Taylor (hamstring) are active after being doubtful.
